Day 14: Mon 2 Sep - Cape Town

8-31 deg C, talk about a contrast, fine and sunny
Walk: 6km

Had breakfast with the crew, then off to the Congress venue for mornos, well just a lukewarm coffee! We had a MEPS Session all about International Humanitarian Law based on the Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocols. It was presented in such a way that everyone should have understood the basics.

After lunch, I returned to the hotel for a rest and admin before heading back over to catch the bus to the 2 Military Hospital at Wynberg for the meet and greet. We boarded the bus at 4pm and it took us just over an hour to travel 15km, such is the traffic in Cape Town at that time of day. It had turned into quite a warm day, and the bus was not airconditioned, so some people arrived looking rather flushed.

We had an awesome, informal meet and greet, with good finger food and wine, beer and softies. Sadly, after almost three hours, we had to board the bus for the journey back to congress venue and respective hotels.

Now that's a traffic cone!

Springboks are in town for their game against the All Blacks. Some of ours members were thinking up ways in which they could disrupt training so NZ could win.
