Day 5: Sat 24 Aug - Cape Town

12 (feels like 5) - 15 (feels like 9) deg C, cold, wet and very windy
Walk: 3km

We knew today was not going to be very nice weather wise, so had not planned any outings.

The morning was spent chatting and catching up on family news, and baking. Debbie asked Ernest (brother), Rosalie (SIL), Christine (niece), Chris (nephew-IL), Danica (2nd cousin?), and Janice (sister) to come for afternoon tea. Christine brought a home-made no-sugar cheesecake and Debs baked what she calls 'crunchies'; made from all sorts of nuts and seeds and are very delicious. It was fun to catch up with Ernest and Rosalie whom I have not seen since the late 80s. I also got to meet for the first time Christine (as an adult), Chris and Danica.

Dinner was a very informal affair - get your own.

Not a very busy day, but an enjoyable one with family.

My room, complete with ensuite (forgot to take a photo before I unpacked)
